Choir School

SING THE NORTH is more than a choir, it is a supportive and exploratory singing community.

The STN Choir School was born of the desire to help our singers expand their expressive enjoyment of singing.

Through our unique offering of courses, warm-ups, workshops, and technical support sessions, the STN Choir School will help you gain experience, feel more confident, and sing more freely.

The Choir School takes place in the STN Virtual Song Cabin, a special place in the imaginery Canadian wilderness where we can let our voices flow.

Everyone is welcome on all our courses. To join us, browse our offerings, register, and check your email for your course details.

We look forward to seeing you at The Cabin!

Summer Solfa Sight-Singing Bootcamp

This summer we are offering singers the chance to brush up their sight-singing skills with a special Summer Solfa Sight-Singing Bootcamp, led by our dynamic and friendly choir director, Kathryn Whitney.

Using a unique sight-singing technique developed specially for adult choristers, Kathryn will take you on a very special musical journey. She will help you to organise your musical thoughts, turn the little black notes into sounds in your head, and to help you name and understand the purpose of the sounds you already know.

Summer Singing Lessons with Kathryn Whitney

Kathryn is also offering special Discounted Singing Lesson 4-Packs this summer.

These can be purchased as Add-Ons for those attending the Sight-Singing Bootcamp or can be purchased separately for those wishing to brush up on their singing, music learning, or performing and filming techniques. Simply purchase the lessons through this shop and Kathryn will be in touch to set up times to suit you. All are welcome.
