Classical Campfire Canons 1 – Live

Join us!

You have sung the famous canon “Row, Row, Row Your Boat ” around a campfire but did you know that Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven wrote canons too?

These simple melodies weave beautiful harmonies quickly and easily when sung in parts. Canons are also a great way to get you singing freely and joyfully, and to help you learn some key skills for singing healthily and maintaining your voice.

Join conductor, singer, and clinician Angie Reichenbach for this fun 5-week course that will get you singing, moving, and releasing vocal tension in a fun and supportive environment.

Meet Angie Reichenbach

Angie Reichenbach joined SING THE NORTH for its very first project, Aurora with Nicholas Fairbank. She quickly fell in love with all that the choir represents: singing well, tours on the STN tour bus and of course social time and parties.

Angie holds a music education degree from the University of Western Ontario (B. Mus. Ed.) and a teaching degree from the University of Toronto (B. Ed.). In April 2020 Angie retired from teaching music in the elementary public school system and is now an online vocal coach in her private studio where she teaches choral singers from around the world.

Angie has enjoyed a rich performance career including forming and leading a worship band which travelled throughout Southern Ontario speaking and singing at Chrisitan events. In 2016 Angie returned to her classical roots and has been gaining popularity as a soloist for community and church choirs in Toronto and the surrounding area. Her most recent performances include Haydn’s Salve Regina with The Mississauga Chorus (2018) and Faure’s Messe Basse and Gounod’s gorgeous O Divine Redeemer with The Toronto Beach Chorale choir (Easter 2019). Angie was chosen as a vocalist for Operation Mobilization’s music missionary project in Vienna for April 2020. Unfortunately it was cancelled due to Covid but she hopes this mission will be offered in the future.

During the pandemic Angie has become a popular vocal instructor for SIC - Choir of the Earth and has participated in many online choral events. Angie is thrilled to be coming on board with SING THE NORTH as a vocal coach and looks forward to many rewarding sessions with the always fun and curious Sing the Northerners.
