Curious about what we do and how you can take part?
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
is a national family of choirs, based in Canada, that welcomes singers from across the country and around the world.
Founded 2020 by our Artistic Director, Kathryn Whitney, SING THE NORTH encompasses an in-person annual Summer Choral Festival, two national recording choirs (Sing the North and STN Ice), and a drop-in Kitchen Party Choir.
All choirs are united by our dual purpose: to foster friendship and understanding through group singing; and to promote Canadian choral music at home and abroad.
Inspired by the vast open spaces and pristine wilderness of Northern landscapes, SING THE NORTH choristers build new worlds when they cross boundaries, open their hearts and ears, listen to each other’s stories, and sing in harmony together.
Whether you raise your voice at our in-person Summer Choral Festival, take part in our national choral recording projects, or sing-along at our virtual kitchen parties, you are welcome.
To join the choir, simply register for one of our courses, projects, or events. We are looking forward to singing with you!
